A little clarity before you begin.
Details about the Family Archive package and the PhotoKins experience.
Can I bring photos with tape or staples?
Please remove tape, staples, and similar attachments before bringing your photos. We cannot accept photos with these attached. If removing them could damage a photo, contact us first.
What does high-resolution scanning mean?
We scan at 600 dots per inch (DPI). That means we capture fine detail from your printed photographs so you can view them clearly on a screen and make new prints. The result also depends on the size and condition of the original photo.
What does $199 include?
Up to 300 photos scanned in high resolution, original and enhanced copies, captured backs when applicable, organization, and a check of every scan, a USB, and PhotoKins software.
What if I have more than 300 photos?
Additional photos are $0.35 each. Bulk pricing is available for large collections. Final count and scope are confirmed before service begins.
Will I get my original photographs back?
Yes. Your original photographs are returned along with your USB archive.
Are handwritten backs captured?
Photo backs are captured when applicable, so their notes can be viewed with the photographs in PhotoKins.
Does Who’s Who identify everyone automatically?
Who’s Who helps organize recurring faces across the collection. You can name, correct, and organize people yourself.
Can I crop or edit photographs in PhotoKins?
The customer editing tools are in development. The available experience includes original/enhanced switching, comparison, albums, favorites, dates, captions, and people organization.
Can I order photo restoration or photo books?
These services are coming soon. Paid orders for restoration and photo books are not available.
Where is the service available?
We primarily serve Webster, TX and the Houston area. We’ll work out handoff arrangements together before you bring your photos.
How long does it take?
Turnaround is confirmed with your collection and service arrangements.
What devices can run PhotoKins?
Compatibility details will be published after the USB delivery experience has completed validation.
